The exhibit is on now through October 13, 2015 at the San Diego Museum of Art.
An uncanny circus atmosphere and beachside fun come to the San Diego Museum of Art’s galleries through colorful, large scale paintings, posters and over 150 original artifacts and relics from Coney Island’s history, including:
  • A 5 ft. tall cyclops head from Coney Island’s “Spook-A-Rama” ride that survived Hurricane Sandy
  • Hand-painted carousel horses from the early 1900’s
  • Vintage photos and vivid artwork capturing everything from candid beachside moments to the glamour-filled Coney Island lifestyle

Coney Island was once reserved for the affluent members of society. Today, anyone can enjoy this seaside attraction in Brooklyn, New York.

    I’m pretty sure I went there as a kid – I remember going to the original Nathan’ hotdogs, but not much else 🙂
