Spring means flowers. What better way to get in the spring spirit than with the San Diego Museum of Art’s annual floral display: Art Alive!
The San Diego Museum of Art is hosting the 36th Annual Art Alive, their spring flower exhibition where designers create floral interpretations of the museum’s most famous works of art, on April 28-30.
The museum is showcasing floral interpretations of its most famous works art by artists including Diego Rivera, René Magritte, Gustav Klimt, Henri Matisse, Goya, El Greco, and more. The museum will be transformed for three days, including the museum rotunda, which will be turned into a surrealist floral design by returning florist Carlos Franco, owner of Green Fresh Florals.
For kids, the family-friendly Garden of Activities returns, featuring a museum-wide flower hunt, a children’s reading area and floral-inspired art projects. For adults who want to get hands-on, new this year the Museum is partnering with Pigment to host a terrarium-building workshop.
