“Iron Man 3,” “The Hobbit,” “The Expendables 2,” and “Twilight” to hit Hall H at Comic-Con 2012

It’s time to start lining up for Hall H at the San Diego Convention Center for Comic-Con 2012!

Last year’s Con will be hard to top.  It included the huge movie premier of “Cowboys and Aliens” with Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig.

But folks willing to sacrifice precious Con time planting themselves in the interminable snaking line outside Hall H, will definitely be treated to some of the biggest names in popular culture this year.

“Iron Man 3,” “Man of Steel,” and Guillermo del Toro’s “Pacific Rim” will join crowd pleasers “The Hobbit,” which has been building a steady fan base over the last three visits to Comic-Con, and The Twilight Saga “Breaking Dawn Part 2.”

The stars of the final installment of the popular vampire series are confirmed to be among the headline presentations in the cavernous Hall H. (Bring your earplugs for this last panel — Twi-hards are known to make some noise for their beloved Bella and Edward.)

The largest pop culture event in the country rolls into San Diego early this year, July 12 – 15, and news of star studded panels and upcoming blockbuster movies making their way to the most popular space at the convention center are already circulating on the Internet.

Among the newcomers to Hall H are television favorites Big Bang Theory and Fringe, which will fill in the vacancies left by Hollywood studios like Paramount, Fox, and DreamWorks/Searchlight who will be MIA this year.

We don’t want to speculate, but…rumor has it that Lionsgate/Summit studios might be holding off on news about a huge surprise character joining “The Expendables 2” cast on stage for the Con.

But before we go on to guess who that might be, here’s a snippet of “the manliest cast” ever at Comic-Con in 2010. (Excuse the shaking camera-woman, it was difficult to keep it steady.)

Yeah, that was fun!

Now, regarding that rummor. Let’s just say you might want to brush up on your Marshall Arts in case Chuck Norris takes a swing at you at the Con! (Rumor control, please!)

May the force be with you!
