The largest convention for bloggers is cleverly called BlogHer. It will take place this Friday and Saturday at the San Diego Marriott and Convention Center, and it will be my first time attending the much anticipated convention of the Blogosphere!
Over 3,000 people are expected to fly in from every corner of the country to network, learn, and mingle with all sorts of brand ambassadors who will also be here hawking their wares to some of the most influential writers on the web.
Sessions and private lunches have been scheduled months in advance with large brands like LG, Samsung, Verizon, McDonald's, Sears, Lifetime, and Pepsico who are looking to connect with bloggers.
The parties are also highly anticipated events and are taking place in some of San Diego's iconic venues. From the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art, the Solmar Hotel, to Stingaree Night Club and the New Children's Museum, several blogger communities have put together brands and bloggers to meet and mingle in some of the hottest spots in town.
I am very lucky to not only be attending this conference, but also participating for the first time with BlogHer on some exciting things.
I'll be working the floor at BlogHer with a new product called www.BillMyParents.com. I'm very excited to learn and share with you information about this innovative money management product for teenagers. It's a re-loadable credit card which alerts you via email and Mobil about all the activity spending your child does.
Please come by booth #227 and say hi Friday and Saturday 2-5pm!
On Thursday evening, I will be getting a nice make over by the kind folks of iFABBO. They will be getting me ready with Paul Mitchell products, Stila cosmetics, and Robert Crommeans will be there to primp my hair! Then I'll be strutting my new look at three soirees hosted by The Clever Girls Collective, The Frugalistas, and OC Blogger Bash.
Friday could be my big day. I'm most looking forward to listening to the LG Text Ed Advisory Council which includes Jane Lynch, and one of my inspirations for this humble blog's topic about teens: Author of “Queen Bees Wannabes” Rosalind Wiseman. (Rosalind herself is trying to secure a seat for me at this lunch, which unfortunately filled up faster than I could hit reply on my email. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!)
Friday, after lunch and working with www.BillMyParents.com, I'll be off to more rocking parties: Cheap Sally and You-Phoria by One2One Network.
Saturday, I hit the exhibit floor again at booth #227 and dawn my brand rep t-shirt for you, so please come by so we can meet IRL (in real life)!
Finally, if anyone needs any tips on where to stay, eat, or enjoy our incredible San Diego weather with or without kids, let me know and I'll point you in the best direction! (I live here so I've probably been there, done that!)
Looking forward to meeting some of my inspirational blogger friends IRL, and also to making many new friends to keep in touch with in this wild thing called the 'Blogoshpere!”
See you at BlogHer 2011!
Just stopping by to say how great it was meeting you at BlogHer11 this past weekend. Thanks for your time in talking with me about Bill My Parents (wonderful BTW) and also stopping for a minute during the panic when I thought I'd lost my phone.
CHEERS!
Celeste
Great coverage! I missed meeting you in San Diego – but so happy you and Pauline connected. I love the picture of the two of you!

Hi Celeste, I'm glad you found your phone. I know the panic feeling you experienced very well- I've lost a cell phone too. And we are connected to them as another extremity! I hope we keep in touch and thanks again for stopping by Bill My Parents!
My dear Lynnee, I'm so glad to hear from you! I owe you a long email. I just found out what you've been going through and just wish I could give you a hug. It also explains why you have MIA for a while and with good reason. Glad to also know things are looking up for all of you. Stay strong! Love, Suzette
