The Christmas music playing at Fashion Valley Mall caught me by surprise yesterday. It jolted me into a panic because I felt I was already behind on all my Holiday preprations, and it was only November 8!
But, after a glass of wine and a divine cooking class hosted by Fresh and Easy at the new Sur la Table gourmet kitchen store and cooking facility, my tranquility was restored.
Fresh and Easy and Chef Cyndi hosted a group of bloggers at Sur la Table at Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego where we learned to make an entire Thanksgiving feast using the neighborhood store’s own products.
The result was truly remarkable! Butternut Squash Rissotto, Cornbread Stuffing, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Roast Turkey and Gravy, and Cauliflower Gratin.
Dessert was delictable. We made Chocalte Eclairs from scratch!
The Fall decor was soothing and helped me forget that outside of the new shop, Christmas decorations were up and the carols blasting through the halls.
One thing I realized is that I will NOT be making all my side dishes on Thanksgiving day. I will be buying them already deliciously prepared from Fresh and Easy!
Thanks Fresh and Easy for also giving me a running start with my Thanksgiving cooking chores with this nice gift bag!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Disclosure: I recived a complimentary gift bag from Fresh and Easy.
