Our local NBC station, KNSD, invited a few bloggers to attend the Golden Globe Awards and help with a little Social Media. Sondra, Melanie, and yours truly were among the invitees, and we were more than happy to go!

After arriving at the Centry City Parking plaza, we were part of a much larger mass of people. We were transported on shuttles to the Beverly Hilton Hotel where we were wrangled by security and ushered through the halls of the hotel.
We did walk on the Red Carpet as we were led to the limosoine arrivals area, and I’ll admit this was a thrill and a half!

Once placed in our spots for the day, we were assigned to a Fan Production Crew who were in charge of making sure we clapped, oohh and awwwed at the appropriate cues during E! New’s pre-awards show. It was fun to see Giuliana Rancic, George and Kelly Osbourne working it that early. We arrived at the Beverly at 11:30 am and the E! News team was glammed up and on their broadcasting platform.
After that show was over, about 2:00 pm, we had to wait for the first limos carrying mystery celebrities to arrive. Like clockwork, the first limo arrived promptly at 3:00 pm, and the flow of cars was constant right up until 5 pm, when the last car showed up to reveal Kate Bekennstyle quickly running in after having a wardrobe malfunction in the car — apparently her zipper broke.
Seeing one star after the other show up was quite a shot of adrenaline to the system! The most thrilling moments for us Bleacher Creatures, were when celebrities broke rank and headed our way. The truth of the matter here is that not all of the actors will actually acknowledge the presence of the fans on those ubiquitous bleachers. But when they do, a simple wave and a smile will send everyone cheering in the stands. Then again, there were some who snubbed us. And this is why I decided to hand out Silver Bleacher Awards.
