Johnny Depp pulled a Mad Hatter trick and surprised fans at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.
Leave it to Disney to come up with a way for Johnny Depp to interact with fans in real life.
Unsuspecting guests at the resort thought they were looking at a simple poster of the upcoming film “Alice Through The Looking Glass” when suddenly…
My heart did a summersault just thinking about this encounter with Depp!
Of course, I’m excited to see this movie, too. The film and the cast are a great match for the beloved book written by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known to you and me as author Lewis Carrol.
Carrol and I have something huge in common: He was a mathematics lecturer at Oxford University where he penned “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” and where I also attended for my post graduate degree.
I still can’t believe those lucky Disneyland guests had a chance to speak with the real Johnny Deep — who never broke character as the Mad Hatter. Amazing!
I attended the red carpet premier of “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” at Disneyland in 2007. This is as close as I’ve come to Depp. What would you have done if you had been there to see and speak with Johnny Depp?
I would have peed my pants!
