Major League Baseball Wants To Enshrine Your Jersey for All-Star Week.
Between June 21st and June 28th, fans can post a photo or video of their jersey on Instagram, and tell us why your special game jersey deserves to be retired by MLB with honors.
For the first time ever, Major League Baseball is retiring the jersey of one dedicated fan as part of the MLB All-Star Week festivities in San Diego, Friday, July 8th through Tuesday, July 12th.
One lucky fan will be selected to have his or her jersey retired in ceremony at MLB All-Star FanFest on Sunday, July 10th, and will win an MLB All-Star prize package including round-trip flights and accommodations for two in San Diego, and tickets to the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game, T-Mobile Home Run Derby and the MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard at Petco Park.
To enter the “Enshrine Mine” contest, fans can post a photo or video to Instagram sharing their unique fan jersey story detailing why their jersey should receive the ultimate honor.
Remember to use the hashtag #EnshrineMine
One winner will be chosen based on submissions that illustrate fandom, passion for baseball, and share special, original moments experienced in the jersey. Fans can submit their jerseys for enshrinement by tagging entries with the contest hashtag, #EnshrineMine, between Tuesday, June 21st and Tuesday, June 28th. Finalists will be selected by Major League Baseball and All-Star Game spokespersons Trevor Hoffman and Dave Winfield.
The winner will be notified Friday, July 1st.
