CORONADO ISLAND FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS:

LONE SURVIVOR

SEE THE AWARD-WINNING FILM!

Meet Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, whose best-selling memoir inspired the film!

A FULL DAY OF EVENTS!

Tickets are now on sale for a special Veterans weekend event presented on Saturday, November 12, 2016 that includes the CIFF screening of “Lone Survivor.” The 2013 film recounts the ill-fated reconnaissance mission, “Operation Red Wings,” where four SEALs were dropped into the rugged Afghanistan mountain terrain to capture a Taliban leader, discovered by the enemy and hugely outnumbered in the bloody gunfight that followed. Honored guests will include former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, whose best-selling memoir inspired the film. Luttrell served as a close consultant to Producer/Director Peter Berg, and several former SEALs served as technical advisors and stunt coordinators. The event is a fundraiser for the Coronado Island Film Festival, which is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 corporation. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Lone Survivor Foundation, founded by Luttrell.

Director Peter Berg is one of the industry’s busiest and most prolific filmmakers. He and actor Mark Wahlberg first formed their creative collaboration in 2013 when Berg cast Wahlberg to play Luttrell in Lone Survivor. Wahlberg also stars in Berg’s recently released “Deepwater Horizon,’” which tells the story of the 2010 BP oil rig disaster. Berg will open “Patriot’s Day” in December. The film again stars Wahlberg, who plays a Boston police officer during the Boston Marathon bombing. Also in December, the History Channel will premiere a six-part non-scripted reality TV series called “The Selection,” executive-produced by Berg, featuring real citizens as they attempt to survive the rigorous, nearly-impossible training required by U.S. Special Forces.

Two winners will be randomly selected for this giveaway. The 2 VIP Crown City Passes are transferrable and are valid for this event taking place in Coronado, California. Enter on the form below, and be sure to read the Terms and Conditions.
