Head on over to Belmont Park in Mission Bay to catch the “Cars 3” Road to the Races tour Wednesday, June 7!

Disney•Pixar’s CARS 3 is treading full speed ahead and racing to theaters next Friday, June 16th!
To celebrate the threequel featuring none other than Lightning McQueen and two new Cars characters, Cruz Ramirez (yellow) and Jackson Storm (blue), Disney•Pixar hit the road with their Nationwide Tour, “Road to the Races” where fans everywhere were able to get a close look of what to expect from the film!
The tour kicked off at Walt Disney World in Florida and finally made it’s way to Southern California!
This week’s stop? Sunny, or shall I say not so sunny, San Diego! Even with traces of June Gloom and heavy sprinkles, die hard Cars fans headed over to Belmont Park to meet the Cars characters, watch the movie preview, explore themed activities and much more.
My little man was so excited to see his favorite car, Lightning McQueen! Like many of the kids his age, he arrived in full Car’s spirit!
There were several stations for families to enjoy. It was like a mini installation of Disneyland right here in San Diego. Fans waited in line to get their photos taken with the cars, enjoyed complimentary smoothies from Dole® and even enjoyed the rare experience of being a part of the Pit Crew, thanks to Coppertone®.
We made a pit stop at the other sponsored booths as well, including a build your own car activity station presented by Alamo Rent A CarSM and Mattel’s interactive play area where little hands could race mini versions of the Cars family and get test out the toy tracks.
My little man got super excited when we entered a mobile movie theatre to watch the movie trailer. I was in awe and cannot wait to watch the movie in its entirety when it comes on June 16th!
The good news is, “Road to the Races” is still in San Diego for one more day.
Come check all of this out for yourself today, June 7th from 10 am to 5 pm, and let us know what you think in the comments below. You’ll have a blast for sure.
