I’ll Be a Speaker at Entertainment New Media Network Conference 2015

Excited doesn’t describe how I feel about being invited to be a speaker on a panel at this year’s Entertainment New Media Network Conference in Los Angeles, California, September 9-13.

Just imagining myself surrounded by like-minded bloggers, writers, authors, media experts, and special guests from the entertainment industry fills me with inspiration!

What is the purpose of this conference? This is from their website:

The focus of ENMNCon is training and education specific to the travel and entertainment industry. Yes, there will be some basic blogging intensives that everyone uses, but the majority of our training will be focused on growing your skill-set to meet the specific and special needs of these industries. If you want to blog more about travel or entertainment, this is the conference you should not miss.

The title of the panel I will be part of is “What Comes After Blogging?” I expect to share my experiences about how I got started writing (ranting?) about media and entertainment, blogging for the Hollywood publication TheWrap.com, writing about parenting in a celebrity-driven society (my blog’s focus), and also about what led me to write my first book, “101 Movies to See Before You Grow Up.” (Walter Foster Jr. 2015)

One of the keynote speakers I’m looking forward to learning from at the conference is Dr. Jeffrey Barnes, or Dr. Disney as he’s affectionately called. He is the author of “The Wisdom of Walt: Leadership Lessons From The Happiest Place on Earth. Success Strategies for Everyone” July 20, 2015. He has even taught a class titled The History of Disneyland!

Other speakers at this conference are Helena Santos (“American Reunion”), Julie Estrada (KUSI News in San Diego, LEGOLAND), Leah Cevoli (“Robot Chicken,” HBO’s “Deadwood”), and PR pros like Steve Rohr whose list of clients includes Martin Sheen. I think I’m in very good company!

Check out the Entertainment New Media Network website for TV and film reviews, family activities, and general entertainment news useful for you and your family.

“101 Movies To See Before You Grow Up” coming October 15, 2015 is available for pre-sale on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com.

That’s so exciting. I have yet to make it a blogging or media conference but I am hoping to in the next year. Good luck with your panel.

    • Suzette Valle says:

Believe it or not, I have only to been to one blogger conference, Rachel. It is worth going to at least one big one to connect with everyone IRL!

  2. Suzette I’m so glad to hear you will be speaking! I can’t wait to chat with you about your new book and hope I can review the book for you on my blog…. especially because this summer my husband organized a list of our childhood movies to share with the kids! See you in a couple of weeks!

    • Suzette Valle says:

Thanks, Joann! So glad I’ll get to see you at ENMNCon15! You have to share your movie list with me. Tell me, what movies are on it?
